The short answer is no. Most tasks have to be done during the day. However, jobs like search and rescue where you’re not looking for crisp, accurate images, and primarily using thermal and night vision can certainly be done at night. Weather conditions also play a role. Most drones cannot fly in rain and snow or freezing rain can build up on propellers making it unsafe. The FAA also does not allow flight with less than 3 statute miles of visibility.
